Family Compass: Support for Vulnerable Families

At a time when economic inequalities are intensifying, natural disasters are becoming more frequent, and housing insecurity has become a daily reality for many families, Emfasis Non-Profit is launching its new Family Compass program.

With the support of THI Canada, we have designed a holistic initiative aimed at providing immediate relief, ongoing support, and meaningful empowerment for families in crisis. Our focus is on those experiencing extreme poverty, psychosocial challenges, abusive environments, or the consequences of natural disasters.

What Family Compass offers:

Distribution of essential goods

Psychosocial support

Guidance for job seeking

Intervention during extreme weather conditions

Emergency aid and temporary housing in cases of natural disasters or climate-induced homelessness

Areas of Implementation:

With a targeted strategy and based on data from the field, Family Compass is currently being implemented in:

Attica (most vulnerable municipalities)

Peloponnese (Patras)

Thessaly (Volos)

Rhodes

Crete

Emfasis Non-Profit, together with THI Canada, remains committed to standing by those in need — first on the ground, always with respect, dignity, and solidarity. Family Compass aspires to become a steady point of reference and guidance for families at a critical crossroads.
